More About Who We Are

Swedish Roadmapper Laboratory is not a legal entity but an open web platform and knowledge environment where research, analysis and practical tools are brought together, developed and made accessible to support the transition to sustainable energy and societal systems.

The platform serves as an interface between academic research, applied systems analysis and real-world decision support. Its purpose is to make complex system choices easier to understand, compare and evaluate.

The work brought together within Swedish Roadmapper Laboratory builds on research conducted within the SustainTrans group at the Division of Strategic Sustainable Development at Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH). This research foundation is further extended through applied studies, scenario modelling and the development of analytical tools.

The platform includes, among other things:
–analytical frameworks for energy systems and industrial transition
– scenario models and computational tools
– transparent assumptions and data foundations
– visualisations of system dynamics and transition pathways

The Roadmapper Tool and related analyses enable users to explore how different assumptions and decisions shape future development pathways. Transparency in methods, data and underlying logic is a core principle.

Consulting assignments and commissioned analyses are carried out through Swedish Roadmapper Consulting AB that constitutes a separate legal entity. These assignments apply methods and tools developed within the SustainTrans group and Swedish Roadmapper Laboratory.

Swedish Roadmapper Laboratory thus acts as a bridge between research, practical application and open knowledge sharing.
